Position Details Year 2 Teacher – Hemel Hempstead school Start Date – January 2026 Contract – Permanent, Full-Time The Role The Year 2 Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons, run small-group sessions, monitor pupil progress, and report to parents. The Year 2 Teacher will collaborate with teaching assistants, lead interventions, and support smooth transition into KS2. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will start in January 2026 and contribute to curriculum development from January 2026. This role is based in Hemel Hempstead. Person specification for the Year 2 Teacher • QTS/PGCE and proven experience teaching Year 2 as the Year 2 Teacher. • Strong knowledge of reading, writing, maths and assessment in Year 2. • Excellent communication, classroom management, and the ability to start January 2026.
