French Teacher (ECT) – Preston, Lancashire – January 2026

A thriving secondary school in Preston is seeking an enthusiastic French ECT to join its Modern Languages department from January 2026. You’ll be supported to: Establish strong classroom routines for speaking and participation Teach vocabulary and grammar in a clear, cumulative way Use assessment that informs teaching without heavy marking loads Develop pupils’ confidence and resilience with language learning Where enrichment exists, it is realistic and meaningful — cultural activities, language celebrations, or curriculum-linked opportunities rather than constant extras.
