Regional Advisor – Platform Social Domain (South-West Region)

About the position

Overview We are seeking an experienced Regional Advisor for the Platform Social Domain – South-West Region . Regional Advisors work independently, based on their own expertise and professional background, and are supported by the Platform Social Domain with insights into new developments and advisory skill enhancement. The role requires a strong process-oriented advisor with a broad, generalist profile who can seamlessly navigate between different policy areas within the social domain. Working Hours: 28–32 hours per week (average) Key Responsibilities Relationship Management Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships across multiple levels within municipalities and partner organisations Initiate and develop relevant regional networks Knowledge Sharing Provide clarity, insights, and best practices to municipalities and partners Actively contribute to regional knowledge exchange Advisory Role Act as a trusted “critical friend” within the region Provide independent and strategic advice on complex social-domain challenges Facilitation Organise and facilitate discussions between regional and/or local partners Support collaborative processes across organisations and policy areas Collaboration Participate in periodic coordination meetings with fellow Regional Advisors Exchange insights on regional developments, challenges, and advisory activities Requirements Completed Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) At least 3 years of experience (within the past 5 years) in cross-domain collaboration At least 2 years of experience (within the past 5 years) working with local authorities in the broad social domain in the South-West region Minimum 3 years of experience as an advisor on change and transformation initiatives within the social domain Strong understanding of local governments and their partner ecosystems Proven knowledge of regional context (“couleur locale”) and an established regional network Key Competencies Strong advisory skills Environmental awareness Results-driven mindset Strategic and analytical thinking Ability to collaborate and connect stakeholders Proactive and flexible approach Persuasive communication Strong networking abilities Objectives of the Assignment In 2026, the Regional Advisor South-West is expected to support the region in addressing collaboration challenges within the Care & Safety domain .
