SEN provision is central to their approach, supporting children with: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Speech, Language, and Communication difficulties Dyslexia and other learning challenges You may work in: Mainstream primary or secondary schools with SEN departments Resource bases attached to mainstream schools Specialist provisions focusing on specific learning needs SEN TAs are essential members of the school community, valued for their impact on pupils’ daily experiences. Your Role As an SEN TA in Camden, your day-to-day responsibilities may include: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups Assisting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties Encouraging positive behaviour and self-regulation Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum by adapting materials Helping children develop social skills, confidence, and independence Observing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress Assisting with transitions between activities or classrooms Supporting therapy sessions, sensory activities, or interventions Helping pupils with personal care needs when required You will also act as a consistent, positive adult presence, providing reassurance and guidance throughout the school day.
