About the position
Location: Camden, North London Start Date: January Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay Rate: £95–£110 per day About the School A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Camden is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs from January. The school is known for its strong inclusive values, high standards of teaching and commitment to supporting children from diverse backgrounds. The SEN department is well-established and highly regarded, offering structured support for pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD and speech and language difficulties . Staff benefit from excellent leadership support and access to training and development opportunities. The Role This is a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils with SEN are fully included in classroom activities and receive the tailored support they need to thrive. The role may involve supporting one main pupil on a 1:1 basis as well as assisting other SEN pupils throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Providing targeted SEN support within the classroom Supporting pupils with learning, behaviour and emotional needs Delivering small group interventions Supporting social skills and peer interaction Implementing SEN strategies and behaviour plans Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to staff Supporting pupils during break and lunch times Candidate Profile The school is looking for someone who is confident, empathetic and able to adapt to the individual needs of pupils. You should ideally have: Experience working with SEN pupils in a primary school Understanding of behaviour management strategies Ability to remain calm under pressure Strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding Why Apply?
