The Opportunity & Role Profile This successful secondary school requires a highly organised and skilled Science Technician to provide essential technical support across all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). The role is vital for ensuring the safe, efficient, and inspiring delivery of practical science lessons up to A-Level. Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope Lab Preparer: Preparing apparatus, chemical solutions, and biological materials for daily practical lessons and examinations. Safety Champion: Ensuring strict compliance with CLEAPSS guidelines, managing chemical inventory, and maintaining a safe and organised laboratory environment. Resource Coordinator: Repairing equipment, managing stock, and efficiently ordering new supplies within budget constraints. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Previous experience as a Science Technician or relevant scientific qualification/background, with strong commitment to laboratory safety. Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government scale (expected to be £24,000 - £29,000 per annum).
