Location: Bhosari, Pune Experience: 8–14 Years Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and technically strong Team Leader – Design & Costing to lead the Control Panel Design & Costing function. The role involves managing a team of engineers, overseeing design and costing activities, preparing accurate techno-commercial proposals, and ensuring timely delivery aligned with client requirements and applicable standards. Key Responsibilities Design & Costing Lead the design and costing of Control Panels including MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, CNC, DCS, PCS, and Instrumentation Panels . Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, BOMs, and techno-commercial proposals for panels, switchgear, and automation solutions. Review and approve SLDs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams , and BOMs ensuring compliance with IEC / IS standards and client specifications. Ensure timely delivery of designs, estimates, and proposals as per project timelines. Technical & Client Coordination 5. Conduct technical discussions with clients, internal teams, and vendors to finalize system requirements and configurations. 6. Coordinate with sales, procurement, and production teams for seamless project execution. 7. Stay updated with the latest automation technologies, Siemens systems, and switchgear products . Vendor & Cost Management 8. Manage vendor interactions, negotiations, and pricing to ensure cost competitiveness and quality. 9. Drive continuous improvement in costing accuracy and process efficiency. Team Management Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Design & Costing Engineers . Allocate resources, monitor workloads, and ensure optimal team productivity. Provide training on design tools, costing techniques, and industry standards . Foster a proactive, result-oriented, and quality-driven work culture. Key Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in Control Panel Design (MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, DCS, Instrumentation Panels). Proven experience in panel/project costing, BOQ preparation, and vendor management . Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, EPLAN, MS Excel (SIEPAN / SIECOST preferred). In-depth knowledge of Siemens automation products, PLCs, Drives, switchgear, and electrical standards . Excellent leadership, team management, client coordination, and negotiation skills . Strong technical, communication, and organizational abilities. Proactive, result-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
