Site Manager - Liverpool

About the position

Are you an experienced Site Manager ready to lead premises operations in a large primary school in Liverpool from January 2026? We are working with a sizeable school in Liverpool that needs a confident Site Manager to oversee maintenance, compliance and a busy site team. The Site Manager will take overall responsibility for planned and reactive maintenance, statutory checks, contractor procurement and team supervision. This Site Manager role in Liverpool involves strategic oversight of site budgets, development of maintenance schedules and ensuring day-to-day operations are safe and efficient. Induction and a full handover will be arranged prior to January 2026 so the Site Manager can lead from the spring term starting January 2026. Role responsibilities Lead the site team, plan work schedules and ensure high standards of site maintenance across the Liverpool campus. Ensure statutory compliance is met: coordinate fire safety, asbestos, legionella and other mandatory checks. Manage contractors, tender small works, oversee capital projects and report on spend to senior leaders. Maintain site records, manage stock and supplies, and develop risk assessments and H&S documentation. Support lettings, community use and event logistics while ensuring safeguarding and site security. Person specification Extensive experience in site or facilities management, ideally including line-management of site teams. Thorough knowledge of premises legislation, H&S regulations and statutory compliance in an education setting. Strong organisational skills, project-management ability and financial awareness to manage budgets in Liverpool.
