A knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent school in Enfield for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with a fascination for the past and develop their critical thinking skills. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating History Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. Prepare students effectively for GCSE History examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of historical concepts and interpretations. Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages historical inquiry, debate, and the analysis of sources. Assess and monitor student progress in History, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History. Demonstrated experience teaching History Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4. A strong and comprehensive knowledge of British and world history. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of bringing historical events to life for students. Benefits Salary will be dependent on the school's own pay scale.
