About the position

A welcoming and ambitious 11–18 secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking a Food Technology ECT to join their Technology Faculty from January 2026. This permanent role offers exceptional support and development for early-career teachers passionate about food education and healthy living. About the Role The successful candidate will teach Food Preparation and Nutrition across KS3–KS5, focusing on practical skills, cultural understanding, and the science of nutrition. You will inspire students to explore global cuisines, sustainability, and healthy eating through engaging and hands-on lessons. You will receive one-to-one ECT mentoring, structured observations, and participation in the school’s professional development programme designed specifically for new teachers. There will also be opportunities to lead cookery clubs and community food initiatives.
