About the position
The Contract Analyst is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of contractual agreements, including drafting, reviewing, analyzing, negotiating, and managing contracts in alignment with organizational policies, legal requirements, and business objectives. This role ensures contractual accuracy, mitigates risk exposure, maintains compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, and promotes operational efficiency through effective contract administration and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Review and Analysis
Review, interpret, and analyze a broad range of commercial, vendor, service, confidentiality, and partnership agreements.
Identify contractual risks, inconsistencies, and compliance concerns; recommend appropriate revisions or mitigation strategies.
Ensure contractual language aligns with corporate policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
Drafting and Negotiation Support
Draft standard and non-standard contract templates, amendments, and addenda.
Support negotiations with internal stakeholders and external parties to achieve favorable contractual terms.
Collaborate with legal counsel to resolve complex legal or compliance matters.
Compliance and Risk Management
Monitor adherence to contractual obligations and regulatory frameworks.
Maintain accurate audit trails, documentation, and version control of agreements.
Assist with internal and external audits related to contracts and procurement processes.
Contract Administration
Manage contract lifecycle activities including initiation, execution, renewal, amendment, and termination.
Track key milestones, deliverables, and expiration dates to ensure timely action.
Maintain contract management systems and databases with accurate, up-to-date information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Compliance teams to align contract terms with business needs.
Provide guidance to stakeholders regarding contractual processes, obligations, and risk considerations.
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance contract governance and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
3–6 years of professional experience in contract analysis, contract administration, procurement, or legal support.
Strong knowledge of contract law principles, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices.
Demonstrated ability to review and interpret complex legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside within the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
Paralegal certification, Juris Doctor (JD), or relevant professional credential.
Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, technology, government contracting, or finance.
Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) or state procurement requirements.
Experience with risk assessment frameworks and compliance audits.
Annual Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
Eligibility for discretionary performance-based bonus where applicable.
