About the position
The IT Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organizations information technology infrastructure and services. This role supports day-to-day IT operations, monitors system performance, resolves technical incidents, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain secure, reliable, and scalable technology environments aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical thinking, technical troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to service excellence in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Operations & System Monitoring
Monitor enterprise systems, networks, and applications to ensure optimal availability and performance.
Respond to system alerts, incidents, and service disruptions in accordance with established SLAs.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain operational dashboards, logs, and performance metrics.
Incident, Problem, and Change Management
Manage incident resolution processes and escalate issues when necessary.
Participate in problem management to identify recurring issues and long-term solutions.
Support change management activities, including testing, validation, and deployment coordination.
Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Infrastructure & Security Support
Assist in maintaining servers, cloud environments, operating systems, and network components.
Support patch management, system updates, and vulnerability remediation.
Enforce IT security policies, access controls, and compliance standards.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to mitigate operational risks.
Service Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Provide technical support to internal users and business stakeholders.
Contribute to automation, monitoring enhancements, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Analyze operational data to recommend performance and reliability improvements.
Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity readiness.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or technical support.
Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Experience with network fundamentals, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and enterprise monitoring tools.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Must reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, ITIL Foundation, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
Experience with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
Exposure to ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual Salary
$70,000 – $95,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
