Job Opportunity: Network Operations Engineer (Hybrid)

They are seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join their team based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In this role, you will be part of the Network Operations Center (NOC) team, collaborating with Network Specialists, Support Services Technicians, and the Manager of Support Services. You will be responsible for identifying customer requirements and executing recommendations provided by our client.

Additionally, you will resolve technical support issues within your specialization, support internal infrastructure systems, and provide on-call escalation when necessary. Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve technical support issues within your specialization within the NOC. Plan and implement internal NOC systems.
  • Support internal infrastructure systems and services.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to develop new offerings and implement processes and systems.
  • Provide on-call escalation support for problem tickets.
  • Implement project services as required.
  • Provide Tier 3 network support with limited supervision.
  • Develop and maintain network configuration and documentation according to industry best practices.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience with Fortinet Firewall and Switch Installation and Administration.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Migration Skills,
  • Strong client relations skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Fortinet Certified Professional (or alternative)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Hybrid work model (2/3 days a week in office)

Salary: $90,000 per year

Language Requirement: French proficiency not required.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
